About Our Periodontist

Teri Brooks Lovelace, DDS, MS, PA is a board-certified periodontist in private practice since 1997 and currently practicing in Abilene, TX.

Dr. Lovelace began her dental education at the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio, where she graduated summa cum laude in 1994 with a Doctorate of Dental Surgery. While in dental school, she also received the American Academy of Periodontology's Student Award for Excellence in Periodontics. Upon graduating, she earned a membership in Omicron Kappa Upsilon, a chapter of the National Dental Honor Society, by both graduating in the top 20 percent of her class and showing exemplary traits of chapter and potential qualities of future professional growth. Following this achievement, she remained at the University of Texas to specialize in Periodontics and in 1997 earned a Master’s of Science before opening her private practice in Abilene, TX.

To stay current with the most innovative techniques and procedures in dentistry, Dr. Lovelace is currently continuing her education by taking classes in order to keep abreast of advances in periodontics, oral medicine and implantology. Her continuing membership and active participation in professional organizations gives her the opportunity to influence developments in her field. Her professional memberships include the following:

In her spare time away from her Abilene practice, Dr. Lovelace enjoys spending time with her husband, Paul, and their three children, Mathew, Julia, and Mary. She also enjoys playing golf and tennis.
